Horn tooting: Kindred magazine

Rachael Conlin Levy

My essay and photographs will appear in the spring issue of Kindred, named one of the hottest and newest literary magazines in 2012-1 by The Review Review.

“Reading Kindred Magazine feels like a throwback to a more luxurious era for literary mags. The publication has real heft and size and is printed on heavy, glossy pages that crackle and swoosh as they’re turned. All the better to showcase the large, lush, full-color photographs that accompany the writing …,” wrote Jenny Moore in a review of the summer 2013 issue. “If a picture says a thousand words, Kindred is verbose. The photographs truly set this magazine apart, particularly because they are brilliantly juxtaposed with the writing. Vivid and beautifully rendered, they deepen the theme and evocations of the summer season.”

Kindred is a beautiful publication, and I’m honored to be among its contributors. By preordering issue 6 Rebirth, you support Kindred, which supports writers like me. Thank you.
